Exam Management: From Datesheet to Report Card

Coordinating exams involves creating datesheets, assigning rooms, collecting marks from teachers, computing grades, and publishing report cards. VidDarpan's Exam Controller handles this entire lifecycle in a single workflow.

Examinations are among the most complex and high-stakes operations in any school. A single exam cycle involves multiple steps: defining the exam type, creating a datesheet, assigning rooms and invigilators, configuring the grading system, collecting marks from teachers, computing grades and rankings, generating report cards, and publishing them to parents.

When these steps are handled manually — through spreadsheets, printed forms, and verbal coordination — the process is slow, error-prone, and stressful for everyone involved.

VidDarpan's Exam Controller is designed to handle this entire lifecycle within a single, integrated workflow. Administrators can create exam types (Unit Test, Mid-Term, Final, etc.), define the subjects and maximum marks, and set up the grading system with custom grade boundaries.

Datesheets can be created and published directly from the dashboard, with dates, subjects, and timings visible to both teachers and parents instantly. There is no need to print and distribute paper copies.

Once exams are conducted, teachers enter marks through the ERP dashboard. The system automatically computes grades based on the configured grading system, ranks students within each class, and generates professional report cards with subject-wise breakdowns.

Administrators can then review and publish report cards, making them accessible to parents through the mobile app. Parents can view and download their child's report card at any time, without visiting the school to collect a printed copy.

This end-to-end digitization reduces the exam management workload from weeks to days, eliminates calculation errors, and gives parents timely access to their child's academic performance.
